On July 3, 2026, at approximately 1:12 a.m., a vehicle stop was initiated by police at the intersection of Rte#378 and Black River Rd. for suspended registration.

The driver, identified as Heriberto Antonio Cruz-Cruz, age 41, was found to be in violation of a requirement to have an ignition interlock device installed on his vehicle. The vehicle he was operating did not have the required device.

As a result, police filed charges against the driver for Illegal Operation of Vehicle without Ignition Interlock and Operating a Vehicle with Suspended Registration at District Court 03-2-04.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
