On April 12, 2026, at approximately 8:47 pm, a Forks Township police officer was in the area of 1011 George Street and had prior knowledge of a male with a warrant in the same apartment complex. The male, James Nicholas, had been wanted by Monroe County Sheriff's Department for a probation violation related to several DUI charges. The officer observed an Amazon package outside of the front door for Nicholas' residence and confirmed Nicholas' name on the package. The officer knocked on the door, Nicholas opened the door and was taken into custody. Nicholas was transported to Northampton County Prison to await extradition to Monroe County Sheriff's Department.
