On March 13, 2026, at approximately 5:27 pm, a Forks Township police officer was conducting an assigned DUI roving patrol in the area of Frost Hollow Road and Winchester Drive and conducted a traffic stop for a violation. The officer made contact with the driver, identified as James McCormick, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and person. McCormick had slurred speech and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. McCormick agreed to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and, as a result of the tests, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. McCormick was transported to a Northampton County DUI Center for a legal blood draw, which later determined his BAC was 0.105%. McCormick was charged by criminal complaint with (1 count) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol - General Impairment (M) and (1 count) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol - High Rate (M).
