Honda “Radar Sensor” Thefts
The City of Easton Police Department is currently investigating numerous thefts of sensors from Honda vehicles in the west ward area of the city. This is a current trend involving Honda CRV’s and Honda Accords. Thefts have also occurred in other jurisdictions in the area.
Owners of Honda CRV's, approximate years of 2023 to current, and Accords, approximate years of 2018 to current, should be aware that the "Radar Sensor" behind their front "H" emblem is a vulnerable target for theft. Removal of this sensor is quick and an easy target for thieves and a costly repair.
To help reduce the chance of theft, please park your vehicle in well-lit areas, very close facing a structure or other car making access difficult, under camera watch or explore "Radar Sensor" anti-theft options available online.
Owners who are victims of the theft will experience multiple dash lights illuminate upon starting the vehicle. Please report all thefts to the Easton Police Department or the proper jurisdiction. If you are unsure if your vehicle is one that is vulnerable, please contact your local Honda dealer.
Attached are images of the "H" emblem in the front grille and the "Radar Sensor" behind it. If anybody has any information relating to the thefts, please contact city detectives at 610-250-6644.
