On June 11, 2026, at approximately 4:38 p.m., Chief Savidge was parked in the area of the Catawissa Boat Club on Rupert drive, when he observed a blue GMC pickup with a broken windshield and no inspection sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and follow-up investigation revealed that the vehicle was not insured, registered, or inspected, and had a license plate belonging to another vehicle attached, concealing the identity of the vehicle.
Chief Savidge and Officer Hernandez conducted the investigation and, in addition to multiple traffic offenses, discovered that a passenger had an outstanding warrant for shoplifting from Bucks County and a felony drug warrant from Florida. The passenger was taken into custody and transported to the Columbia County Prison.
The driver, as well as the vehicle owner, received multiple summary traffic citations.
