Bumper to bumper traffic on a sunny day with many driver windows down.

Bloomsburg Fair Travel Advisory

  • While the fair is not located in Montour Township, we still see increased traffic. Follow these tips:

During September 25–October 3, 2026, residents and visitors should expect heavier traffic around the Bloomsburg Fair and surrounding roadways. Please be patient, obey posted restrictions, watch for pedestrians, and give emergency responders plenty of room.

Plan ahead. Slow down. Stay alert. Help keep Montour Township and the Bloomsburg Fair community safe.

  • Allow extra travel time. Traffic may be significantly heavier than normal during the fair, particularly in the afternoon and evening.
  • Slow down in residential areas. Increased pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle activity can occur on local township roads.
  • Watch for pedestrians. Visitors unfamiliar with the area may cross roads or walk along roadways while looking for parking or transportation.
  • Do not block intersections, driveways, fire lanes, or emergency-access routes.
  • Follow police officers, flaggers, temporary signs, and posted traffic restrictions. Traffic patterns may change during busy periods.
  • Use designated parking areas. Do not park on private property or along roadways where parking is prohibited.
  • Never drive distracted or impaired.
  • Use headlights during poor weather and at night.
  • Be prepared for emergency vehicles. If an ambulance, fire truck, or police vehicle approaches with lights or sirens, safely pull over and give it room to pass.
  • Parents should keep children close when walking near busy roads, parking areas, and fair-related traffic.
  • Check traffic conditions before leaving. Drivers can use 511PA for current traffic, roadway restrictions, weather information, and traffic cameras.
