The Mahoning Twp PD, working with the Northumberland-Montour County Drug Task Force, participated in a drug investigation which resulted in the arrest of Erika Powlus of 40 Evergreen Point, Apt. 103, Danville.  Powlus was arraigned on October 5, 2018 on charges of Possession With Intent to Deliver (F), Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3), Possession of a Controlled Substance (M) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M).

Powlus is alleged to have delivered crystal methamphetamine to a confidential informant at her residence on October 3, 2018. After the transaction was completed, Drug Task Force members obtained a search warrant for the premises. In addition to crystal methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine and digital scales were also recovered from the apartment.

Powlus was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Marvin K. Shrawder and jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Task Force agencies involved in the investigation included Mahoning Township PD, Montour County Sheriff’s Office, Danville PD, Riverside PD and the Montour County District Attorney’s Office.
