In December 2018 the Upper Providence Township Police Department received information from a township resident who noticed approximately $20,000.00 worth of jewelry was missing from their residence located in the Oaks section of Upper Providence Township.  Subsequent investigation led by detectives revealed the victim's house cleaner, Theresa Doperak, stole the jewelry over the course of several months and pawned the jewelry at a local pawn shop.  Theresa Doperak admitted to stealing the jewelry and pawning it for U.S currency.
