Upper Moreland and surrounding areas have seen an increase in property crimes. This includes thefts from motor vehicles, thefts of catalytic converters as well as motor vehicle thefts. If you follow our pages, we try to keep you as informed as possible to lower the risk of you being a victim of one of these crimes. 

What should you do if catch one of these criminals in the act? For your safety, we ask that you don’t engage potentially dangerous people. We're seeing an increase in victims confronting criminals, which can lead to deadly results.

In the event you see someone committing a property crime, we ask you to be a good witness. This includes:

• Calling 9-1-1 immediately
• Give an accurate location and description of the crime
• Get the best physical description of the criminal(s) as you can from a safe distance 
• Can you see a weapon?
• Do they have a vehicle with them or are they on foot? If they are in a vehicle, can you see the license plate?
• If they leave, what direction did they go?

No vehicle or other personal property is worth your safety!
