We would like to recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, which takes place from April 12th to 18th, 2026. This week is dedicated to honoring the hard work and dedication of our public safety telecommunicators who serve as the vital link between our community and emergency responders.
This week-long event, initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week that should be set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication.
Our telecommunicators are the unsung heroes behind the scenes, working tirelessly to answer emergency calls, dispatch responders, and provide critical support during times of crisis. They are the first point of contact for those in need, often providing calm and reassurance in the most difficult of situations.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our telecommunicators for their exceptional service and dedication. Your hard work and expertise make a significant difference in the lives of our residents, and we are grateful for your tireless efforts.
Thank you for the exceptional effort, composed demeanor, and commitment demonstrated when interacting with callers!!
