As the weather warms up, more and more residents are taking to the roads. The Lower Moreland Police Department wants to remind everyone to prioritize safety to ensure a fun and safe experience for all.

E-bikes can be a fun and environmentally friendly way to get around, but they can also pose risks if not operated safely. To ensure safety, please follow these guidelines:

• Wear safety gear: Always wear a properly fitted helmet, and consider wearing knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves to protect yourself in case of a fall.
• Follow traffic laws: Most E-Bikes/Scooters are currently only allowed on private property. NOT public roads, sidewalks, or LM parks. NO E-Bikes or E-Scooters are allowed in Township Parks (Per Ordinance.)
• Age Restrictions: Operator's must be 16 years of age or older.
