On June 18, 2026, Horsham Township Police Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a hotel in the township. During the initial investigation, officers encountered Anthony Smith and recovered a small quantity of suspected illegal drugs from his possession.

Officers continued their investigation and subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant for Smith’s vehicle. The search resulted in the recovery of a loaded, operable handgun that Smith was prohibited by law from possessing. Officers also recovered additional suspected illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and other items consistent with the sale and distribution of controlled substances.

As a result of the investigation, Smith was charged with offenses related to the possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

On September 10, 2026, Smith appeared for a preliminary hearing, where all charges were held for higher court. Thank you to our patrol officers for their proactive and thorough work helping to keep Horsham safe.
