Hatboro Police Department Achieves Reaccreditation
Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC)
The Hatboro Police Department is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved reaccreditation from the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) on April 23, 2026. This prestigious recognition reflects the Department’s ongoing commitment to excellence in law enforcement and its dedication to serving the Hatboro community with the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.
The PLEAC accreditation process is a rigorous and comprehensive review of a law enforcement agency’s policies, procedures, and operations. Agencies are evaluated on more than 130 professional standards covering key areas such as policy development, training, operational effectiveness, and community engagement.
Hatboro Police Department’s reaccreditation demonstrates its continued focus on best practices, transparency, and high-quality public service.
Chief of Police Mark D. Ruegg stated, “We are honored to receive reaccreditation from the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission. The reaccreditation is valid for a three-year period, during which the Department will continue to review, enhance, and maintain its professional standards.
