The Ambler Borough Police Department will be out on patrol today actively looking for drivers using their cell phones. As of June 5, 2026, officers who observe a motorist driving while using a handheld device can pull drivers over and issue citations.  This is now a primary violation in the state of Pennsylvania. The children are going back to school, and we will have more kids walking to school in the morning and afternoon. We urge drivers to operate their vehicle safely and to stay off of their phone while driving. If you fail to do that you may be issued a citation.
