On August 30th, 2026, at approximately 1759 hours, officers of the Pocono Township Police department were called to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the victim. They advised that Rodney Smith, defendant in this matter, of Tannersville, threatened to kill them while also blocking their path out of the room they were in. The defendant left the residence before officers arrived.

A warrant for terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment has been issued. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Smith is asked submit a tip below or contact the non-emergency number at (570)992-9911 and ask to speak to an officer.
