On December 24th, 2025, at approximately 1543 hours, an officer with Pocono Township Police Department attempted to stop an Audi A6 bearing NJ registration due to the owner having an active warrant. When the officer approached the vehicle the driver fled, which a pursuit took place. Officer pursued the vehicle onto SR0715 before losing sight. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the parking lot of Northampton Community College which led to the pursuit continuing onto I80 east. Officers terminated the pursuit due to high speeds and losing sight of the vehicle for a second time. Through cell phone records, officers were able to determine that the registered owner, Ameer Mcrae, was in the area and the time of the pursuit and found reservation information for Ameer at a local hotel. An arrest warrant has been issued for felony fleeing and eluding including other related charges.
