On April 13, 2026, the Pocono Township Police Department was dispatched to the Banana Republic Outlet located in The Pocono Premium Outlets, for a retail theft. On arrival, the store manager advised that a male suspect paid for merchandise using counterfeit currency. The suspect handed the cashier five counterfeit one-hundred-dollar bills to purchase $456.00 USD worth of merchandise. The cashier then provided the suspect with the remaining change of $44.00 USD. The suspect exited the store with the merchandise and left the vicinity prior to the business calling 911. Attached is a photo of the suspect, who has not been identified at this time.
