On August 1, 2026, a Pocono Township Police Officer was conducting a patrol on Route 715 near Ann Lane when they encountered an individual, later identified as Justin Weist of Scranton, PA.

The officer observed Weist walking in the middle of Route 715 while under the influence of a controlled substance. Upon making contact, Weist provided a false identification. Further investigation revealed an active warrant from the Scranton Police Department. Additionally, drug paraphernalia was found on Weist's person.

The above listed charges have been filed against the defendant.
