On February 6, 2024, at 1553 hours, Officers from the Pocono Township Police Department responded to Camelback Lodge for a disorderly male. Upon arrival, it was reported that the male was fighting with security officers in his room.
Officers arrived on scene and located Jonathan Vidal, a 33-year-old male from New York, NY., fighting with several security officers. Officers placed Vidal under arrest and continued the investigation. After interviewing the security officers, it was found that Vidal was being disruptive and aggressive in the hotel bar and was asked to leave the resort. Vidal then spit in the face of one the security officers. Vidal was then escorted to his room where he continued to argue and fight with security. While at the room, Vidal spit in another security officer's face and then threw a marijuana cigar at another security officer. A female victim attempted to calm Vidal down, at which time he then assaulted her. No one was injured during the incident.
While Officers were on scene investigating the incident, Vidal was found to be extremely intoxicated and unruly in public.
Vidal was placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility for Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Harassment and Public Drunkenness. Vidal was arraigned on these charges and was given $15,000 secure bail. His court date is pending.
