On July 1, 2026, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a report of an individual and his dog being stabbed. The investigation determined that Christopher Sigle, the Defendant in this matter, approached the victim who was walking his dog. Sigle, still upset over an incident earlier in the day involving the victim and his dog, exited his vehicle and confronted the victim. During this confrontation, the Defendant stabbed the dog and cut the victim, then left the scene.
The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital, while a neighbor transported the dog to a local veterinary hospital. The Defendant was taken into custody and transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
