On February 9th, 2026, an officer with the Pocono Township Police Department was on patrol on Rt 611 in Scotrun. At approximately 3:52pm, the officer observed a vehicle driving carelessly and utilize the center-left-turn-only lane to overtake other motorists. The officer initiated a traffic stop for the observed violation and spoke with the driver, Michael A Santiago. During the interaction, the officer noted several indicators suggesting that the driver may be under the influence. Following the officer's investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the DUI center. Additionally, the driver was found in possession a small amount of marijuana. 

Charges have been filed on Michael A Santiago in relation to this incident.
