On August 8, 2026 at approximately 2:50AM, an Officer of the Pocono Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle infraction. During the stop, contact was made with the driver, Eileen Ortiz, a 42 year old female of East Stroudsburg, who displayed indicators of impairment. After conducting a DUI investigation, Ortiz was placed under arrest for the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Ortiz was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.
