On February 14th, 2026 at approximately 9am. An Officer with The Pocono Township Police Department was contacted by a 36 year old Stroudsburg woman who wished to report an incident of domestic violence the night before.

The victim stated her ex-boyfriend Jhon Lora, a 37 year old male from Long Pond, attacked her while at a party at a local restaurant at approximately 1am the previous night. The victim stated Lora had been drinking and calling her names when he grabbed her hair and attempted to punch her several times. The victim had several bruises on her arms from fending off the attack. Lora was then taken outside by other persons at the party where he went to his vehicle, produced a large knife, and began walking towards the victim while threatening to kill her. The victim then ran inside the building and Lora left. 

At approximately 1pm, Lora was taken into custody without incident and transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. Lora faces misdemeanor charges of Terroristic Threats, Possessing and Instrument of Crime, Simple Assault (2 counts) and Summary Harassment.
