On March 5th at approximately 3:27pm, Officers of The Pocono Township Police department responded to Moyer Court in Scotrun for a report of an assault. Officers were given information that the perpetrator was a Jason Labar, who possessed an active warrant and was driving a silver Mitsubishi Outlander. A check of the name in question did yield a Jason Labar out of Stroudsburg who did possess an active warrant out of The Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival it was determined that no assault had taken place, but Labar had been there minutes before and had just left. Labar returned to the house in the described Outlander a short time later and was taken into custody. Through an investigation it was determined that Labar was under the influence of methamphetamine, and possessed an additional 1.7g on his person.
Labar was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility and placed in their custody due to the warrant. Charges were filed on Labar for Driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and ungraded misdemeanors for Possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
