On December 4th, 2023, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to The Shoppes at American Candle for a report of sexual harassment. A 17 year old female employee had reported to her manager that a male had come into the store, asked to see items on a shelf, and had been touching himself behind her back and making her uncomfortable.

Through an investigation it was discovered that on December 1st, 2023, at approximately 6pm, 22-year-old Cristian Kent had come into the store and asked for help from an employee. While the employee had been showing Kent the items he asked to see, he took several pictures of her, masturbated inside his pants, and exposed himself behind her back. When the employee became aware of what was going on she got a manager to come help Kent. The entire ordeal was caught on the store's surveillance cameras.

Charges were filed for Corruption of Minors, a felony, Indecent Exposure, Open Lewdness, and Disorderly Conduct, all misdemeanors, and Summary Harassment.

An arrest warrant was obtained and Kent was taken into custody on January 26th, 2024 at approximately 3:15pm without incident. Kent was arraigned and placed into The Monroe County Correctional Facility on $20,000 secured bail.
