On February 28th, 2026, officers with the Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to a reported disturbance at a residential address in Tannersville. Once on scene, officers made contact with Thomas M Gunning, a 50-year-old male from the Tannersville area. Through the investigation, officers learned that a domestic assault had occurred between Gunning and another female who resides at the home. As a result, Gunning was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment.
