On April 12, 2026, at approximately 1934 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired inspection sticker. Upon approach, officers detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

Officers made contact with the vehicle operator, a 50-year-old male. When questioned about the odor of marijuana, the operator advised officers that there was a bag inside the vehicle containing marijuana. Officers obtained consent to search the bag, where they discovered approximately 84 grams of marijuana, as well as several items of drug paraphernalia.

Charges were filed against the operator. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
