On Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at approximately 0615 in the morning, officers from Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on SR0611 and Howells Lane. Officers found a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox crashed into the back of a garbage truck. Officers made contact with the driver, Takara Feliciano, 33-year-old female from Newfoundland, PA. Takara was disoriented and unable to provide officers with a clear story. While officers were speaking to Takara, they were able to observe drug paraphernalia on the floor board of the vehicle. Through further investigation officers were able to obtain a search warrant for Takara's blood and found that she was under the influence of cocaine and fentanyl at the time of the crash. Takara has been charged with DUI and Drug related crimes.
