On January 9, 2026, at around 3:15 pm, Pocono Township Police responded to a call about a disabled vehicle on Route 715 near Munch Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that the vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle accident and the driver, Eleanor Burke showed signs of intoxication. Burke was subsequently taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol and was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
