On January 8th, 2026, at approximately 01:14 P.M., officers of the Pocono Township Police Department were called to a residence in reference to a family member not leaving the home, when they have no residency or right to be there. Officers arrived, made contact with the homeowner and a family friend. It was explained that the other family member moved out years ago and has came back and is refusing to leave. Officers made contact with the defendant in this matter, Connor Braithwaite, a 28 year-old male from Old Forge. The defendant refused to leave and threatened to disarm an officer and use their weapon against them, if officers attempted to remove him. Braithwaite later resisted arrest and attempted to grab an officer's weapon.
The defendant was subsequently arrested and placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
