On September 22nd, 2023, at approximately 4:00 P.M., Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the Onvo gas station parking lot. The victim in this matter advised that her vehicle was struck by a white male in a maroon Subaru Outback and provided the vehicle's registration. The vehicle then fled the scene without stopping or making contact with the victim.

Officers then responded to the registered owner's address and made contact with Joseph Biro, a 56-year-old male from Scotrun. Officers observed his maroon Subaru to have fresh markings, indicating an accident had occurred, that matched the events described by the victim.

Review of the Onvo's surveillance footage confirmed the events of the incident and Biro was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident.
