On Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 at approximately 2354 hours, a Pocono Township Police officer was on patrol when he observed a gray Infiniti Q50 failing to maintain a lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Wendell Bartee, 47-year-old male from Blakeslee. When the officer approached the vehicle there was a marijuana blunt sitting in Wendell's lap. Through further investigation the officer determined that Wendell was driving while under the influence of a combination of alcohol and narcotics. Wendell was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center. Charges are pending blood results for this case.
