On June 23, 2024, at approximately 1358 hours, the Pocono Township Police Department responded to the rear of Weis Plaza in Tannersville for a fight.  During the investigation it was determined that Mautez M Awad a 36-year-old male from Stroudsburg had chased another male with a shovel and engaged in a mutual fight.  Charges filed on Awad.
