On April 22nd, 2022 at approximately 2310 hrs, City of Bradford Police responded to 2 Kiwanis Court Apartment 2B for a reported domestic between a male and female. Upon arrival Officers found the adult female victim injured and crying. The victim reported her boyfriend Daniel Vargas had just assaulted her by grabbing her hair and shoving her around the apartment. Vargas then allegedly choked the victim impeding her airway. Vargas left the residence just prior to Police arrival however Police located him inside Country Fair a short time later. At the time of arrest Vargas was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia related to Methamphetamine use. Vargas was arraigned by Magistrate Engman and remanded to McKean County Jail on $25 k cash bail. Preliminary Hearings are set in the matter.
