City of Bradford Police Department Press Release
On October 31st, 2025, at approximately, the City of Bradford Police Department responded to a reported two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of South Avenue and Elm Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the operator of Unit #2, who reported that a truck had struck her vehicle and fled the scene without rendering aid or providing any information. A thorough investigation was conducted, including a review of camera footage in the area and interviews.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of Unit #1 was identified as Alvin R. Reed. He was subsequently charged in connection with the incident.
Alvin R. Reed was arraigned by Magistrate Luther on March 16th, 2026, and bail was set at $5,000 unsecured. Preliminary hearings in the matter are scheduled to take place at a later date.
The City of Bradford Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens and will continue to investigate and prosecute incidents of hit-and-run accidents.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
