On September 6, 2026, at approximately 0045 hours, officers responded to a break-in at 158 Davis Street, apartment 1. The resident, a 3-year-old child, and a dog were present in the apartment. The suspect, a tall, skinny male, allegedly entered the apartment through the back door.

The suspect, who was described as "scruffy" and wearing baggy shorts and a dark shirt, was confronted by the dog, which attacked him while he was beating the dog with an unknown object. The suspect allegedly made threats to kill the resident and claimed the apartment was his. He appeared to be heavily under the influence at the time of the incident.

Officers arrived on the scene and cleared the apartment to ensure the suspect was no longer present. The resident did not recognize the suspect, and the surrounding area was searched for signs of the male or security cameras. A pair of green and white shoes, which did not belong to the residents, were collected as evidence.

Hours later, neighbors witnessed the suspect walking between residences on Davis Street and confronted him. The suspect claimed he was looking for something he lost the previous night. The same neighbors then witnessed the suspect on the front and back porches of the Davis Street address, attempting to gain entry into the apartment again.

Officers located the suspect identified as Justin Hallock on the back porch of the home, and he was arrested after being identified by the resident as the person who unlawfully entered her residence and threatened to kill her. The suspect was transported to the BCPD, where he was processed and arraigned with bail set at $20,000.00.
