1. You must have a physician's statement detailing why a handicap parking space is needed.
2. If you do not have one already, apply for a handicap license plate for your vehicle. The application can be found on the PA.GOV website. https://www.dot.state.pa.us/public/dvspubsforms/BMV/BMV%20Forms/mv-145.pdf
3. You must NOT have off-street parking available.
4. Once you receive your handicap plate, bring your physician's statement, your driver's license, and the vehicle registration to the Hanover Township Police Department and your property will be assessed by the Chief of Police.
The cost of the space is $60.00 (cost of pole and sign). All checks payable to Hanover Township.
**NOTICE**
Approval of a handicapped parking space does not guarantee that the space will be used by the applicant only. Anyone with a PA handicapped license plate may use this space.
