Beginning July 6 through August 16, 2026, the South Lebanon Township Police Department will join the Pennsylvania State Police and approximately 300 municipal law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth in a targeted aggressive driving enforcement initiative.
The goal of this enforcement wave is to reduce aggressive driving-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities on Pennsylvania roadways. Drivers observed committing aggressive driving violations can expect to be stopped and cited.
Enforcement efforts will focus on:
• Speeding
• Tailgating
• Red light violations
• Heavy truck violations
• Pedestrian safety
• Other aggressive driving behaviors, including driving too fast for conditions and other unsafe actions
This initiative is part of Pennsylvania's Highway Safety Program and is funded through PennDOT using federal highway safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Together, we can make our roadways safer. Slow down, leave plenty of following distance, obey traffic signals, and share the road responsibly.
