On 04/27/2026 at approximately 10:29 PM, South Lebanon Township Police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Cumberland Street after observing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and committing multiple traffic violations.
The driver, Michael Bazik, was found to be operating the vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended for prior DUI-related offenses. During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment and Bazik admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving.
Bazik was arrested for DUI and transported for a legal blood draw. Toxicology results later showed Bazik had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.216%.
Charges were filed for multiple DUI related offenses to include: PAVC 3802 A 1- DUI-INCAPABLE OF SAFE DRIVING (M), PAVC 3802 C -DUI-HIGHEST RATE ALCOHOL 0.16 OR GREATER (M), PAVC 1543 B1.1I DRIVING WHILE OPERATING PRIVILEGE IS SUSPENDED OR REVOKED (S), and PAVC 1543 B1II DRIVING WHILE LICENSE IS SUSPENDED/DUI RELATED 2ND VIOLATION (S).
