The Strasburg Borough Police Department is proud to announce its participation in the Pink Patch Project’s 2022 campaign! This year's pink patch was designed to also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the department and coordinate with our 150th anniversary police badges.
Originating with the Los Angeles County Police Chief’s Association in 2013, the Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations combating this devastating disease. Today, the Pink Patch Project has expanded to over 600 partner agencies throughout the world, including Police Departments, Sheriff’s Offices, Fire Departments and EMS agencies. These agencies have partnered together to combat breast cancer by emphasizing the importance of early detection and to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment.
The Strasburg Borough Police Department will be offering our special commemorative “pink” patch for sale to raise money in support of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. Patches may be purchased in-person or by mail for $10.00 each, if purchasing by mail please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Patches may also be purchased on eBay for $11.50 (to cover shipping & fees). We will also be accepting monetary donations for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
