Don't be alarmed if you notice our Officers donning a little more facial hair than usual... it's time for the Annual Lancaster Co. Beards for Brothers (BFB) campaign!
Each year Officers select a first responder, an immediate family member of a first responder, or an organization from the community who is currently battling Cancer, or provides care to those battling cancer.
This year the Beards for Brothers campaign will raise money for two recipients. Jen Kunkle, wife of Sgt. Chris Kunkle, West Hempfield Township Police and Terry Longacre, Chaplain for the Fraternal Order of Police Red Rose Lodge #16.
Also a percentage of the funds raised will also go to A Week Away (AWA). AWA is a non-profit organization that “coordinates and funds respite weeks for families who are battling a life-threatening illness, with the goal of providing them the hope they need to continue their fight”.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to these families and show them our community supports them, cares for them, and has hope for them!
