Millersville Borough Police have responded to multiple thefts from inside vehicles over the last week. In every case, the vehicles were found to be unlocked, and the contents of the vehicle were scattered throughout the vehicle and neighboring properties. Items taken have been high value items, and in most cases, are visible to the suspect. You may have noticed a large presence of Officers in your neighborhood looking for residents that may have camera footage of the reported incidents.
Our police department offers a camera registry service. Registering your camera allows officers to see what addresses have exterior security cameras and provides them with your contact information so they may contact you if a crime occurs in your area. If your home has an exterior camera, we ask that you please consider registering your camera by clicking on the Forms tab at the top of our CrimeWatch page, selecting camera registry and completing the required information. Once the form is submitted, we will receive notification that you have registered, and your information is immediately available to Officers. If you have trouble registering, you may call our office at 717-872-4657 Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm and we would be more than happy to help you complete the process!
We would like to remind everyone to always lock your vehicles when parked, DO NOT leave anything of value out in the open or in your vehicle and if you notice anything suspicious call 911 immediately.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
