On September 29th, 2026 a Penn Manor High School teacher reported a strong smell of marijuana in the back of a classroom to school administration and the School Resource Officer (SRO). A subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of a smoking device.

Two students were questioned in connection with the incident. A 14-year-old male student admitted to possessing the THC vaping device, which tested positive for the substance. As a result, the juvenile is being charged with Disorderly Conduct
