Fatal Vehicle Accident

Rapho Township – On Wednesday, October 9^th, 2024, at 8:00 AM, Manheim Borough Police responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Hossler Road and Breneman Road in Rapho Township. Two vehicles were involved in the initial collision. A third parked vehicle was struck secondary to the initial collision.

A 44-year-old male driver, Jackson Geffrard of Douglassville, PA. was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, traveling westbound on Breneman Road approaching Stop Sign at Hossler Road. Geffrard entered the intersection of Hossler Road and was struck in the passenger side of his vehicle by a 2006 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck, driven by a 43-year-old male, Eldon Kreider of Manheim who was driving southbound on Hossler Road at the time.

Eldon Kreider was partially ejection and trapped underneath the pickup truck on its side. Kreider was deceased upon police arrival.

Jackson Geffrard sustained minor injuries and was later released from Lancaster General Hospital Penn Medicine.

Two passengers in Kreider’s pickup truck received minor injuries.

Northwest Lancaster County Crash Reconstruction Team assisted at the scene.

Any charges are pending the completion of a full investigation and reconstruction of the crash.
