On January 27, 2026, around 2:15 am, Lancaster City police officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of S. Pearl Street for a report of shots fired. Officers quickly discovered a female teenage juvenile who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was medically treated. After careful review of the circumstances, officers concluded this was a domestic-related incident. As a result of this investigation, Detective Sergeant Shawn Gunnet charged Darrius Edmond with four (4) counts of Aggravated Assault (F1), one (1) count of Person not to Possess a Firearm (F1), one (1) count of Firearms not to be Carried without a License (F3), four (4) counts of Recklessly Endangering another Person (M2), and one (1) count of Simple Assault (Physical Menace) (M2).
