On Thursday October 20, 2016 at approximately 2120 hrs. Officers from Lancaster City Police, Platoon A, responded to the 500 blk. Manor St. Reports had been received of a in-progress disturbance where a group a males had threatened to shoot someone. 

Upon arrival, Officers observed a group of males in front of the address in question. The group ran in different directions and foot pursuits were initiated. One of the males, later identified as Khalil Jackson, threw a plastic bag just prior to being apprehended by Off. Yoder. During the course of his arrest, Jackson yelled for one of his associates to pick up the bag.

Another male, later identified as Colin King, picked up the plastic bag that had been thrown by Jackson. Upon seeing Officer Thomas approach him, Jackson continued the round of felony hot potato by throwing the bag and running from Police. King was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. 

A third suspect, a juvenile male (16 years old) was also apprehended after a foot pursuit.

Upon  further inspection, the plastic bag was found to contain a .38 caliber revolver. The handgun had been reported as stolen to West Hempfield Twp. Police in 2014. 

As a result of this incident, the following persons were transported to the station and charged before MDJ Witkonis:

ARRESTED: Khalil Jackson B/M/19 500 blk. St. Joseph St. Lancaster, PA

                    Charged with: Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License (F3), Receiving Stolen Property (F3), Terroristic Threats (M1) and Possession Marijuana (M)

ARRESTED: Colin King B/M/18 100 blk. Madison St. Wilkes Barre, PA

                  Charged with: Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a Licencse (F3) and Receiving Stolen Property (F2).

The juvenile is to be charged with Terroristic Threats. An Allegation will be filed through Lancaster County Juvenile Probation. 

Arraignment/bail information was not available at the time of this release. This is the 49th gun related arrest made by the Officers/Detectives of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
