Mr. Brown was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at Lancaster County Prison on $500,000.00 bail.

The Criminal Investigative Division, and Detective Adam Flurry, lead investigator for this case, have been working tirelessly since this assault occurred to determine who committed this heinous act of violence . Detective Flurry has charged the below subject, Shymir G. Brown, male, 19 years of age, and a resident of the City of Lancaster, with the following charges. 1) Criminal attempt to commit homicide (two counts), 2) Possession of an instrument of a crime (one count), 3) Firearms carried without a license (one count), 4) Discharging a firearm within Lancaster City (one count), 5) Driving while operating privilege is suspended (one count), and 6) Reckless driving (one count). A warrant has been issued for Mr. Brown's arrest. Any persons with knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to contact the Lancaster City Bureau of Police at 717 735-3301. Information can be provided anonymously. 

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. 

On May 17, 2022, at approximately 1855hrs. Officers from the Lancaster City Bureau were dispatched to the area of S. Queen and Andrew Sts. for a report of a shooting.  Officers located an adult male and a juvenile shooting victim, both Lancaster City Residents.  The victims were immediately provided medical treatment. 

Members of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police are actively investigating this shooting incident.   Investigators are actively seeking anyone who had witnessed the shooting incident or has knowledge of what happened.
