In light of recent events across the country, the Lancaster City Police is proactively working with local faith-based organizations to help ensure the safety and security of places of worship throughout the community. 

The Bureau is increasing outreach and engagement with religious institutions. While there are no known threats to local establishments at this time, the Lancaster City Police remains committed to supporting the safety of all community members and protecting the right to gather and worship peacefully. 

Community members are encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to 911. The Bureau will continue to work closely with faith leaders to strengthen partnerships and help ensure that places of worship remain safe and welcoming spaces for all.
