On Thursday August 27, 2020 at approximately 1140 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon C, responded to an address on the 500 blk. S. Lime St. for a report of shots fired. From the call to 911 it was not clear if shots were fired inside an apartment or fired outside toward the apartment.
Responding Officers checked the area and did not locate any suspects or damage outside. Officers made contact with a resident at the specific address mentioned in the 911 call. Officers were permitted to check inside the residence to make sure that no one inside the residence was injured or in danger. While inside the residence Officers observed suspected marijuana and paraphernalia inside the apartment.
Members of the Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU) responded to assist in the investigation. The apartment was held for a Search Warrant. The search warrant application was filled out and approved. The search of the apartment yielded approximately (3) pounds of suspected Marijuana, quantities of Alprazolam and Oxycodone and materials consistent with the packaging and sales of marijuana. Officers also seized (2) semi-automatic handguns from the apartment.
After consultation with the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office approval was given to file Criminal Complaints against (2) residents of the apartment. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster Bureau of Police station to be processed on the complaints. Bail information was not available at the time of this press release.
