On 9 February 2022 at 12:14 pm officers were dispatched to the area of the 100 block of N. Reservoir St. for a shooting that had just occurred. Officers located an adult male victim who had been struck by gunfire just moments before. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated by EMS and subsequently at a local hospital. The victim was released and is recovering at home with his family. 

13 shots were fired by the suspect from a handgun. The victim was not the intended target and was an innocent bystander. The shooting was an isolated incident and was not a random act of violence. There is no lingering danger to the public related to this incident. 

Detectives from the Bureau also responded to the scene and are actively continuing the investigation at this time. The investigation is open and still evolving. There have not been any arrests made as of the time of this release. Detective Austin Krause is leading the investigation.
